DCAC in the News
Our Core Values:
The children come first in all that we do.
We operate as a seamless team.
Each of us acts with a servant's heart.
Every adult in the state of Texas is required to make a report when child abuse is suspected. You do not have to investigate or be certain that abuse has occurred - you only have to suspect. Call 911 if you believe a child is in immediate danger, or if you do not get an appropriate response to other requests. Contact Child Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400 to speak to a statewide intake coordinator and express your concerns. You may also make a report online at www.txabusehotline.org. Children in abusive situations cannot speak on their own behalf; you must act for them if you think abuse is occurring.
