Born and raised in the "Bayous of the
Mississippi" just outside of New Orleans, Kimberley spent every summer
in an environment rich in color; a light unique to the area.
Eventually, her interest expanded from canvas to film, and Kimberley
was taken on as an apprentice for the top black and white photographer
in the region. She then "came to embrace everything through the lens
of the camera." Together, they taught students from Loyola and Tulane
Universities to develop their film and prints. The highlight of this
experience was to have some of the photos displayed in local
businesses.
Kimberley continued her self taught art
education when she moved to Dallas. In the late 1990's, Kimberley was
approached by the Dallas Home School Association and was privileged to
teach art through this opportunity. Today, Kimberley teaches private
lessons to children and adults, and when inspired, paints.
