"Each of us inherently possesses the power to rise from our own self-created muck and bloom into radiant, enlightened beings." Laura Elia's words capture the essence of her transformational art. Inspired by vivid images that flood her mind during daily yoga and meditation practice, Elia began putting paint to canvas in 2007. She embraced the imagery and saturated colors of traditional Tibetan Buddhist ritual objects and found a way to incorporate them into her work. Each of her vibrant, abstract paintings holds a Tibetan prayer flag as a humble appeal for compassion, peace or wisdom. Elia's work appears in galleries, spas, yoga studios, boutiques, and in a growing number of private collections. With gratitude for the inspiration she derives from Buddhist ritual, Elia contributes 10% of proceeds from the sale of her paintings to the International Campaign for Tibet.
