YOU can make a difference!

It only takes one word, one conversation, one moment to make a difference in the life of a child.

Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC) depends on the help of the community to carry out its life-changing mission. Partner with us by giving of your time and resources in one or more of the following ways:

Attend an Event

Advocate

  • Follow and share DCAC’s posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Select DCAC as your charity on AmazonSmile
  • Host a Lunch and Learn at your home or office by emailing Becky Aguilar, Director of Community Engagement
  • Host a private, guided tour for friends, family, and colleagues at DCAC
  • Coordinate a school uniform drive to support our Back to School Campaign at your office, church, or in your neighborhood (June and July)
  • Adopt a child or organize a toy drive for Holiday of Hope (October to December)
  • Take Keeping Your Children Safe in the Real and Virtual World course at trainingcenter.net ($10 charge)
  • Serve on an underwriting or host committee for one of our events

Serve

  • Volunteer to play with children in the DCAC waiting rooms
  • Organize the Clothes Closet
  • Host a pizza party, ice cream social, or activity for the kids in the playrooms
  • Host lunch and craft time for kids at CHAMP Camp (June and July)
  • Volunteer at our annual Aim for Advocacy clay shooting tournament (August, group volunteer opportunities available)
  • Swap seasonal clothing in our Clothes Closet (October)
  • Refresh summer blooms with fall flowers in our garden (October)
  • Prepare Holiday Gift Bags for families of our clients (December)
  • Provide administrative services (greeting clients, data analysis, office organization, etc.)
  • Host a DCAC Staff/Partner appreciation event or a beneficiary event through your workplace

Give

  • Sponsor/Underwrite one of our signature events
  • Fund a line item in our budget
  • List DCAC in your estate as a planned gift through DCAC's Legacy Society
  • Donate items for event auctions
  • Give new clothing, toiletry, or toy items from DCAC's Wish List to the Clothes Closet

*Circle of Hope: Donors committing three years of giving at Leader, Champion, Hero, or Luminary levels will be recognized as members of our Circle of Hope.

Legacy Society: Here is an opportunity for you to leave a lasting legacy at DCAC by making contributions through Planned Giving. A planned gift can be as simple as a bequest to DCAC in your will or naming DCAC as a co-beneficiary in a life insurance policy.

Donations of new clothing, essentials and toys helps eliminate barriers between families and healing.

Holiday of Hope

Each holiday season, over 2,000 DCAC clients and their families need your help. Your participation in Holiday of Hope makes a difference in the lives of the most severely abused children in Dallas County.

Back to School

Purchasing school supplies and uniforms can be difficult for families of abused children, who are often struggling to make ends meet. This year, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center will supply 1,500 kids with 2 uniforms and backpacks stuffed with all the supplies they’ll need.

Our community partners, like you, make this possible. Thank you for your support of DCAC and the kids we serve.

Dining Series

A meal is the perfect complement to the healing services our families receive and a great motivator for families to attend therapy. Not having to worry about a meal means the caregiver can prioritize the full recovery of their child. Dinner is served at 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights to about 50 people.
