THE JASON KIDD FOUNDATION HELPED PURCHASE TOYS FOR UNDERPRIVELIGED KIDS

DALLAS – This morning (December 7, 2009), Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd and The Jason Kidd Foundation sponsored a holiday shopping spree at a local Toys ‘R Us for 50 kids ages 7-11 from Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. "I really hope that I was able to provide a little bit of happiness to kids who have gone through serious adversity," said Kidd. "I am thankful to the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center for the good work they do each and every day on behalf of children." Each child was given a $200 Toys ‘R Us gift card to purchase the toys of their choice. Jason was on hand to help the kids select toys and to spread a little holiday cheer. "Jason's generosity, both in time and money, towards these children is emblematic of the true spirit of the holiday season," said Lynn Davis of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. "It was a special treat to see the joy on these children's faces."
