Volunteers are a welcomed and appreciated part of the DCAC team.  Volunteers can supervise children in the waiting area playroom, assist staff with office duties and work at a number of fundraising events.  An interview, criminal and CPS criminal background check, and training is required for all people who wish to volunteer.

The Center volunteer opportunities include:

Playroom Volunteer
Playroom Volunteers assist the Center’s children in play activities while they are waiting for an interview or therapy session.

Playroom Volunteer Shifts:

Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Saturday
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Administrative Volunteer
Administrative Volunteers assist in the Center’s business offices with clerical work, data entry, making copies, answering telephones, bookkeeping, or research projects.

Administrative Volunteer Shifts:

Monday through Friday
9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Special Projects
There are always an abundance of special projects taking place throughout the year at the Center. Volunteers play a huge part in their continued success.
