Child abuse is an epidemic that all communities must face. As more parents, professionals and community members learn about the realities of child abuse the effort to combat this serious problem gains strength. The Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is committed to the investigation, treatment and prevention of crimes against children. Since opening in 1991, DCAC has brought hope and healing to the lives of countless families.

Our commitment to the safety of children extends beyond those we serve within the Center. DCAC also aims to equip communities to carry out our mission in their homes, schools and neighborhoods.  For professionals, we offer a Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse seminar to teach the signs and symptoms of child abuse. Professionals will learn the facts about child abuse, how to recognize the physical and behavioral signs of the varying forms of child abuse as well as many other important details for how to report abuse if a problem ever arises. This information is vital for any adult who has care or custody of a child.

If you work for a school, daycare, afterschool program, church or any organization serving children, let us help you train your staff on Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse.
